Serious, humane, and usable.
I’m interested in what changes when we meet protective strategies with respect — and when we build the conditions for new relational experience.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
IFS helps us understand the inner ecology: parts that protect, parts that carry pain, and the Self-energy that can lead with compassion and clarity.
- We slow down to identify protectors without fighting them
- We build consent and capacity before going “deeper”
- We integrate changes into daily life — not just insight
Relational psychodynamic therapy
Patterns are learned in relationship, and they change in relationship. We track attachment needs, defenses, expectations, and the moment-to-moment field.
- Rupture + repair as a core mechanism of growth
- Attention to transference/countertransference (in plain language)
- A stance that’s collaborative, not performative
Somatic attunement
The body often tells the truth sooner than the story does. We include nervous system cues, sensations, and impulse — at a pace that respects safety.
Artfulness
Sometimes language is not enough. We may use imagery, metaphor, or creative process — not as a gimmick, but as another doorway into contact.
What therapy is (here)
Therapy is a consistent relationship where your system can become known — with enough steadiness to let new choices emerge. It’s not a performance, and it’s not self-improvement bootcamp. It’s a practice of meeting what’s true.
